PHYSICS

The Department of Physics (UG) was established in the year 1994 with Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science (PMCs) and Physics, Mathematics, Electronics (PME) combinations, the PG course in Physics was incepted in the year 2014.

Scope of the subject:

Vision: The Department envisions training students for quality education in Physics.

Mission: Committed to impart quality education both in theoretical as well as experimental physics with special emphasis on ‘learning by doing’.

Bridge course: UG Practical lab experiments conducted by Mrs. SharmisthaSahu, Associate Prof, Maharani Ammani College and IAPT member.

e-Galaxy 2019

A club of Department of Physics formed by the faculties and students. It aims on focusing various concepts of the subject and scope in future, through guest lectures, seminars by students and workshops. Some of which are listed below.

Industrial visits: Visit to prominent institutes like IISc, ISRO, IIA, DRDO.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS: Outreach program for school students

DEPARTMENT FEST: ‘Kohesionsparx’ is conducted every year with full house participation from the students and faculties from different Departments in events like frame in, hangman, crazy quilt, connect fizika, enigma, ideathon, visual show, formula run.
